Haven’t posted anything for a while, I’m wrapped up in the warm embrace of procrastination. Thought this was interesting though and an easy post. Take the online Narcissism test.
Despite all evidence to the contrary I only scored a 4. If you score greater than 20 you probably have a mirror in your pocket right now.
Some quiz answering music for you….

4 for me as well Darcy.
Well, aren’t we the wall-flowers…
I got a 6. I felt like some of the questions were impossible to answer … sometimes neither answer was right, and other times both answers were right. (For example: “People always seem to recognize my authority,” but I don’t ask them to. Somehow, whenever I’m working on a group project or even just doing something with a group of friends, people expect me to make decisions and organize things. It’s definitely true that “Being an authority doesn’t mean that much to me.”)
I’m a self proclaimed narcissist, I took the test and scored 30/40. The results summary was very interesting, I scored 0 for vanity and moderate in entitlement, but extremely high in everything else.
I guess this shows the modern concept of narcissism has moved far beyond the original archetype of Narcissus.
Indeed it does but I do believe that my sense of self worth goes far beyond that of aesthetics. I despise superficiality and the inability to look beyond the surface. My admiration dwells much deeper in terms of intelect and the ability to interact with and influence others on many levels.
“I despise superficiality and the inability to look beyond the surface.”
hhmm, good thing you’re a masochist, you must suffer terribly in today’s social world.
That made me laugh, yes you’re right. I am somewhat socially inept. I’ve never “fit in” social situations very well even at a very young age. I abhor the social need to confrom to a sterotype these days. However, I’ve learned more what is deemed appropriate as far as social behaviour is concerned and often use it to my advantage.
Never been much of a social person myself either. To some people’s frustration.
